Alinea Customs to launch comprehensive online UK customs compliance training

Alinea Customs, a UK-based customs brokerage, is set to introduce an online Foundational Training in UK Customs Compliance course in March 2025.
Expanding its professional training offerings beyond in-person programs, the course is designed to equip professionals and students with up-to-date knowledge of UK customs regulations, international trade laws, and compliance requirements.
Training for customs professionals
The CPD-accredited program consists of 14 modules covering key aspects of customs compliance, including HMRC's Customs Declaration Service (CDS), customs valuation, rules of origin, Incoterms, import VAT, tariff classification, and customs procedures. The training is aimed at individuals working in customs, procurement, and logistics, as well as students seeking to build expertise in trade regulations.
Holly Piggott, Director at Alinea Customs and one of the course instructors, said:
"The courses are designed to reflect real-world challenges and solutions for businesses involved in UK trade. Having delivered the course in person for several years, we have now decided to make it available to professionals who need the flexibility to learn. As successful participants on our course comment, this training provides exactly what they need to understand the customs processes for future compliance."
The self-paced format allows participants to complete the course at their convenience. The training includes practical exercises using e-customs training software, ensuring that participants can apply the knowledge in real-world scenarios. Expert support will be available throughout the course duration.
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a CPD-accredited certificate and equivalent CPD hours.
