Ancora Training and FSCJ launch online CDL hazmat endorsement course for flexible learning

Ancora Training, in partnership with Ancora Academy, has launched a fully online hazmat endorsement course for students at Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ).

The program provides CDL-A holders with an opportunity to obtain their hazmat endorsement on their own schedule. This initiative marks Ancora Training’s first higher education partnership in Florida as the company expands its business-to-education (B2E) offerings in the state.

Flexible learning for working professionals

The online course is designed for individuals who need a flexible option to complete their hazmat endorsement training while managing work and personal responsibilities. CDL-A holders, including those outside of FSCJ, can enroll in the program to expand their qualifications.

Ancora Training has experience delivering CDL training across the country and recognized a need for a program tailored to working drivers. The partnership with FSCJ aims to address this demand by offering a structured, self-paced learning experience that supports career advancement in the transportation industry.

Natalie Williams, Vice President of Ancora Education, said:

"This program is an incredible opportunity for students in the Northern Florida area to add a hazmat endorsement option to their current CDL license at a pace that fits their schedule and personal life. With the continued shortage of CDL drivers nationwide, those who have an additional endorsement on their license can position themselves ahead of the curve."

Online format supports career advancement

The hazmat endorsement course is part of FSCJ’s broader initiative to provide adult learners with practical skills that enhance job prospects. The program is fully online, allowing students to access training materials, complete coursework, and take assessments through Ancora Academy’s digital platform.

The endorsement can increase employment opportunities for drivers, as many transportation companies prefer or require hazmat certification for certain roles. By offering this training in a fully remote format, Ancora Training and FSCJ aim to make it more accessible to those who may not have the ability to attend in-person classes.
