Apex Fintech launches AI tool to support platform integration customer education and global dev teams

AI

Apex Fintech Solutions, a provider of clearing, custody, and trading infrastructure for financial services firms, has launched Ask Ascend, an AI assistant designed to support clients integrating with its Apex Ascend platform.

The tool is part of the company’s broader efforts to improve onboarding and customer education through automation.

Ask Ascend is built to respond to technical questions related to Apex Ascend, including API specifications, SDKs, sample code, and platform capabilities. According to Apex, the tool helps reduce integration delays and offers consistent support to development teams operating across multiple time zones.

Yuying Chen-Wynn, technology leader for the Apex AI initiative, said:

“Ask Ascend was conceived to remove roadblocks during technology integrations by providing faster answers to time-critical questions. Now our customers — especially those with global development teams — don’t have to wait for an individual expert in a different time zone to get important questions answered.”

Built on Google Cloud’s Vertex AI for security

The assistant was developed using Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, allowing Apex to apply enterprise-grade security, scalability, and permission controls. The AI is trained on Apex’s internal technical documentation and is designed to provide accurate responses with in-line citations.

Ask Ascend is accessible through a secure interface using Okta Single Sign-On. Query and response data is stored within a dedicated Google Cloud tenant, with Apex emphasizing that external large language models cannot access the information.

Additional features include integration with the Apex Service Center and Developer Portal, code debugging support, and future extensions to operations-focused users. Apex reports the tool will evolve in line with its service documentation and undergoes regular testing to validate performance.

Bill Capuzzi, CEO of Apex Fintech Solutions, said:

“With Ask Ascend, we’ve built a scalable AI platform that enables our clients to onboard faster with security and compliance in mind. Ask Ascend eliminates unnecessary delays that used to depend upon the availability of subject matter experts. We see a lot of opportunities to help our clients achieve their goals with greater agility, and we’ve put a plan in place to deliver more AI-powered tools.”
