Datavault AI appoints Michael Nisbet as VP of Sales to expand VerifyU in academic credential verification

Datavault AI is strengthening its presence in academic credential verification with the appointment of Michael Nisbet as Vice President of Sales, Education.
Nisbet, who has over 20 years of experience working with institutions such as Harvard and Stanford, will lead efforts to expand VerifyU, Datavault AI’s identity verification technology for academic institutions.
VerifyU is designed to help institutions manage academic credentials through AI and blockchain-based verification. The platform aims to reduce administrative costs while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Datavault AI has positioned VerifyU to address rising concerns about credential fraud.
Nathaniel Bradley, CEO of Datavault AI, said:
“VerifyU empowers institutions to reduce administrative costs through the use of AI solutions, ensuring compliance and maintaining trust through secure AI technology that can serve graduates and institutions alike. With his expertise and leadership in institutional partnerships, systems integration, and market development, Michael is poised to become a trusted partner with leading educational institutions. I am confident he will quickly expand VerifyU’s footprint and increase our Web 3.0 licensing opportunities.”
VerifyU integrates biometric identity verification technology through a partnership with CLEAR, a company known for its work with airlines and sports venues. The collaboration allows VerifyU to enhance security and reduce the risk of credential fraud by combining blockchain with biometric authentication.
Nisbet has previously held leadership roles in sales and business development, contributing to revenue growth and go-to-market strategies for multiple SaaS organizations. At Accredible, he helped the company surpass $10 million in annual revenue and developed its first outbound sales team. He also led revenue expansion efforts at Pumpkin, increasing sales by 60% year-over-year.
Michael Nisbet said:
“I am excited to be joining Datavault AI at this pivotal time in the company’s growth and when VerifyU can reinvent how educational institutions approach identity verification. I am proud to be leading the sales initiatives for VerifyU’s breakthrough technology, which can change academic verification forever. I look forward to scaling VerifyU’s reach and contributing to the company’s growth objectives.”
