Demi Lovato joins PlanetPlay’s ‘Make Green Tuesday Moves’ to support sustainability through gaming

Demi Lovato has joined PlanetPlay’s “Make Green Tuesday Moves” (MGTM) campaign, a global initiative that connects gaming with environmental action.

As December’s MGTM Star of the Month, Lovato follows previous participants David Hasselhoff and Joe Jonas in encouraging gamers to support sustainability projects.

Throughout December, players can access Demi Lovato-themed content in several games, including Avakin Life (Lockwood Publishing), Bowling Club & Darts Club (Boombit), Fishing Clash (Ten Square Games), Klondike Adventures (Vizor), Peridot (Niantic), Puzzle Adventure (Pixel Federation), Standoff 2 (Axlebolt), Subway Surfers (SYBO), Text Express (Kwalee), The Great Ocean (Actrio), and Top Drives (Hutch). Additionally, a free Demi Lovato badge offers a 20% discount on the next PlanetPlay store game purchase.

Proceeds from these in-game features will fund certified sustainability projects, including the Hongera Project in Kenya, which distributes clean cookstoves, and New Zealand’s WAI Wanaka water conservation initiative. To date, PlanetPlay has raised more than $2.2 million through its eco-conscious gaming platform.

The initiative is supported by a global social media campaign using #GreenTuesdayMoves. Google has also partnered with PlanetPlay, creating a dedicated page on the Google Play Store to showcase Demi Lovato’s participation and the featured games.

PlanetPlay CEO Rhea Loucas underscored the impact of the partnership, saying:

“Demi Lovato’s passion for music, gaming and the environment is infectious. We’re thrilled to have her on board for December’s Make Green Tuesday Moves and to see the games community continue to drive positive environmental change.”
