10. Bahrain's Reboot01 advances tech talent development with AI, cyber security, and FinTech training

Reboot Coding Institute, also known as Reboot01, is contributing to Bahrain’s digital transformation by training developers with specialized skills in AI, cyber security, and FinTech.

Launched in partnership with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) and supported by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), the institute operates on the global educational platform 01Edu to align its training with industry needs.


9. Motorola Solutions introduces V200 body camera to improve school and workplace safety

Motorola Solutions has introduced the V200, a body camera designed to enhance safety for frontline workers in schools, retail, healthcare, hospitality, and other industries. 

The launch comes at a time when physical incidents in schools are increasing, and organizations are seeking effective ways to protect staff and students.


8. Degree Analytics gets $5m investment from LiveOak to develop its facilities management solution

Degree Analytics, a provider of data-centric space management and energy optimization solutions to US higher education facilities, has secured $5 million in early-stage venture capital (VC) funding primarily from LiveOak Ventures, a Texas investor.

The aim is to further develop its offering and its rollout to more universities and colleagues across the US.


7. NUS pilots blockchain tech on Singaporean green bond reporting tokenization effort

The National University of Singapore is the first educational establishment in Singapore to implement blockchain technology for environmental, social, and governance reporting on its own green bond.

The tokenization project aids data integrity and transparency so investors can now track their green money and investment outcomes. Working in conjunction with asset manager Northern Trust and Asian bank, UOB, the distributed ledger technology was piloted as part of Project Guardian, a Monetary Authority of Singapore initiative.


6. Multiverse welcomes Spotify's Helen Greul and EdTech leader Asha Haji to boost AI-powered education

Multiverse, a company focused on addressing skills gaps through personalized, on-the-job learning, has expanded its leadership team with two key appointments.

Helen Greul has joined as Vice President of Engineering, and Asha Haji takes on the role of Vice President of Operations. The appointments align with Multiverse's continued growth and technological ambitions.

The additions follow recent leadership changes, including the hiring of Jillian Gillespie as CFO and the appointment of Martha Lane Fox to the board.


5. LEGO Education unveils science solution to enhance hands-on Learning in K-8 classrooms

LEGO Education has launched LEGO Education Science, a new resource designed to support science education for students aged 5-14. 

The program includes more than 120 lessons aligned with educational standards in the USA and will be available from August 2025.


4. Motorola Solutions to acquire Theatro, expanding AI safety tools for education and frontline workers

Motorola Solutions has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Theatro Labs, a Texas-based company specializing in AI and voice-powered communication and workflow solutions for frontline workers, including those in educational settings.

The acquisition will integrate Theatro’s software-as-a-service platform into Motorola Solutions’ portfolio, enhancing safety and productivity tools for diverse industries.


3. Prodigy Learning and Minecraft Education unveil new AI credential

AI Ready Skills is the latest credential product, with associated in-game learning, from the partnership between Prodigy Learning and Minecraft Education.

Available through Microsoft and channel resellers worldwide, or from Prodigy direct, the product is intended to prepare students for the nascent artificial intelligence era.


2. Microsoft and Pearson announce AI partnership to advance careers and adoption

A multi-year partnership has been unveiled between Microsoft and Pearson, the lifelong learning company, to improve workers artificial intelligence skills.

The companies will share their technology and educational expertise to jointly develop new AI certificates, learning pathways and AI-powered tools to help identify individuals’ skills gaps and enhance their AI proficiency, unlocking efficiencies for firms and career progression.


1. KNIME Partners With DataCamp to support the adoption of data and AI skills 

The Konstanz Information Miner (KNIME), an open-source data analytics platform and standalone company that delivers visual workflows and AI-powered data tools, has partnered with DataCamp, an online learning platform, to help disseminate and support the uptake of data science and AI education.

The aim is to support the adoption of real-world end uses.  The agreement is intended to provide access to high-quality and easy-to-use learning resources, empowering millions of individuals and organizations to upskill in data science, analytics, and AI – and to then be able to apply them in the real world.
