Project Lead The Way appoints Jason Bailey and John Williams to executive leadership roles
Project Lead The Way (PLTW), a US nonprofit dedicated to STEM education for PreK-12 students, has announced the appointment of Dr. Jason Bailey as Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff, and John Williams as Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer.
Jason Bailey: Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff
In his role as Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff, Dr. Jason Bailey will act as a strategic partner across the organisation, supporting key stakeholders and leading special projects.
He will also focus on enhancing market intelligence to address challenges faced by students, teachers, and administrators, all with the aim of expanding PLTW’s impact. His leadership is expected to help the organisation align with its strategic goals and broaden its reach.
Bailey brings 30 years of experience in education to PLTW. His career includes roles in classroom teaching, administration, and state-level educational strategy. He previously held positions in the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation in Indiana, served as Senior eLearning Strategist for the Indiana Department of Education, and was Director of Community Engagement and Resource Development for the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA).
John Williams: Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer
As Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, John Williams will lead PLTW’s efforts in sales, marketing, communications, and customer success.
He will focus on improving the customer experience, driving student engagement, and supporting PLTW’s mission of equipping students with the skills they need for future careers.
Williams has more than 30 years of experience in the educational technology sector. Before joining PLTW, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at TORSH, where he was responsible for overseeing customer-facing operations.
His career includes leadership roles at Follett School Solutions, IBM, Lightspan, and Educational Testing Services (ETS), where he contributed to business growth and customer satisfaction.
