The Nuclear Company taps 2025 graduates for AI-driven nuclear expansion

The Nuclear Company has begun hiring its first cohort of engineering graduates as part of its plan to deploy fleet-scale nuclear power across the United States.
The company is seeking 2025 graduating engineers from U.S. universities across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, computer, and nuclear engineering.
Hiring for fleet-scale deployment
The company, which emerged from stealth mode in 2024, is focused on addressing the growing energy demand in the U.S. through nuclear power expansion. Its approach relies on fleet-scale deployment, using a design-once, build-many strategy aimed at reducing costs and minimizing delays.
Joe Klecha, Chief Nuclear Officer at The Nuclear Company, a Navy veteran who helped lead construction of America’s only two nuclear reactors built in the last 30 years, emphasized the significance of the recruitment effort:
“This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for engineers to help build a more resilient energy infrastructure for the United States. We know the time is now for more nuclear power. The most important contributor to a strong American economy is abundant, reliable energy.”
Challenges in nuclear construction
The U.S. nuclear industry has historically struggled with projects that exceed budgets and run behind schedule. The Nuclear Company aims to streamline nuclear construction by implementing advanced manufacturing methods and leveraging digital technologies such as AI, IoT, and real-time analytics to monitor and optimize deployment.
