Blue Bird's Gurminder Bedi resigns from Board after nine years

Blue Bird has announced that Gurminder Bedi has resigned from its board of directors. Bedi's departure marks the end of his nine-year tenure with the company.

Blue Bird Corporation designs and manufactures school buses in the USA. The company is a leader in low- and zero-emission buses, including propane, natural gas, and electric models.

Bedi joined Blue Bird's board in 2015 as an independent director after a 30-year career with Ford Motor Company. At Ford, he held several senior management positions, including vice president of the North American Truck business, president of Ford Argentina and Brazil, and head of North American Quality.

His roles at Ford also encompassed leadership positions in product development, manufacturing, and strategy.

Phil Horlock, CEO of Blue Bird Corporation, acknowledged Bedi's contributions:

"We are grateful to Gurminder Bedi for his exceptional service to Blue Bird. Over nearly a decade, Gurminder drew from his in-depth knowledge of the automotive industry and financial expertise to contribute to Blue Bird’s continued leadership in student transportation.

We will miss Gurminder and wish him success in his future endeavours."

Reflecting on his time with Blue Bird, Bedi stated:

"I thank Blue Bird and my fellow board members for the constructive collaboration and friendship over the years.

“Blue Bird is a great company and a leader in the school bus industry, and I am looking forward to watching its continued success."
