The Oasis Consortium has introduced a new LinkedIn Learning course, "AI Trust & Safety: Navigating the New Frontier," aimed at addressing the challenges of responsible AI implementation.

Created by Tiffany Xingyu Wang, President and Co-founder of Oasis Consortium, the course provides guidance on balancing AI innovation with risk mitigation.

Addressing the AI Trust & Safety gap

As AI adoption expands, organizations face increasing pressure to establish Trust & Safety protocols. Despite its growing significance, AI Trust & Safety remains an emerging field with limited structured guidance. The new course aims to provide foundational knowledge for professionals managing AI risks at an enterprise level.

Xingyu Wang, also the course instructor stated:

"Organizations are navigating uncharted waters with powerful tools that can both transform their business and present unprecedented risk. This course aims to democratize access to baseline knowledge so that more guardians of the internet and AI can effectively collaborate on implementing trustworthy AI at enterprise scale."

The program includes frameworks for AI governance, Safety by Design strategies, risk assessment methods, red teaming approaches, and regulatory compliance essentials. It is designed for professionals across Trust & Safety, AI engineering, policy, and brand management seeking to integrate responsible AI practices into their organizations.

The course builds upon Wang’s previous LinkedIn Learning program, "Become a Digital Trust & Safety Leader," launched in 2022. That initiative addressed the broader field of digital Trust & Safety and has been used by professionals across various industries.

The launch comes amid growing concerns about the risks associated with AI-driven technologies. Phil Tomlinson, SVP of Global Offerings at TaskUs and Board Member of Oasis Consortium, emphasized the need for organizations to embed Trust & Safety principles early in AI adoption:

"As organizations rush to implement AI solutions, Trust & Safety considerations must be integrated from the very beginning, not retrofitted as an afterthought. This course provides practical and actionable strategies that decision-makers can deploy to balance innovation, execution, and safety. I will be asking my teams around the world to take this course as a matter of priority.

The "AI Trust & Safety: Navigating the New Frontier" course is available on LinkedIn Learning.
