Aditi Khurana joins CfPIE, launches Gen AI in Drug Development Course for life sciences professionals

US based Center for Professional Innovation & Education (CfPIE) has appointed Aditi Khurana as its new course director. 

Her career includes roles as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist focusing on cytogenetics and molecular biology, where she led research and validation projects. She has also guided cross-functional teams in clinical development, regulatory processes, and product strategy.

Khurana has developed CfPIE’s first course on AI in drug development, titled Generative AI in Drug Discovery & Development: Navigating the New Frontier. The course is designed to help life sciences professionals understand and apply AI to drug discovery and development workflows. It covers key concepts such as:

  • Core AI terminology and concepts

  • Assessing the risks and benefits of AI applications

  • The regulatory acceptability of AI in healthcare environments

The five-hour course is aimed at specialists in toxicology, clinical pharmacology, biometrics, medical writing, regulatory affairs, and project management. It provides practical insights for integrating AI into professional workflows.

CfPIE, a provider of professional education for the life sciences industry, offers a range of courses and certifications tailored to the needs of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device professionals. The organization’s mission is to equip industry professionals with the skills needed to meet evolving regulatory and scientific challenges.

The course will be available via live stream in 2025, with options for on-site customized training.
