Rokt and Red Bull Racing launch all-female Sim Racing Team, mark Nasdaq opening
Rokt and Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing will ring the Nasdaq opening bell on Wednesday to mark the launch of an all-female iRacing team and highlight their continued efforts to promote diversity in motorsports and STEM fields.
Launch of the Rokt Red Bull Sim Racing team
The new iRacing team is an extension of Rokt the Rig, a program designed to increase participation among female sim racers. Selected drivers will receive coaching and the opportunity to compete in major iRacing events.
Elizabeth Buchanan, Chief Commercial Officer at Rokt, said the initiative aims to expand opportunities for female drivers:
We’re excited to take the next step in our mission to create more opportunities for women in sim racing. By combining Rokt’s expertise in technology with Oracle Red Bull Racing’s leadership in motorsports, we’re helping female drivers develop their skills and compete on a global stage.”
Recruitment and training process
An open selection process will take place through the Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing Discord community. Drivers who qualify will undergo training in preparation for a summer racing debut. The program will be supported by a team that includes members of Red Bull Technology Group, who will work on performance development.
One confirmed driver is Annemarie D’Alessandro, a past participant in Rokt the Rig. Additional spaces remain available. The team’s car livery, designed by a female-led creative team, will feature Rokt branding alongside Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing’s visual identity.
Broader diversity initiatives
Julia George, Director of Partnerships at Oracle Red Bull Racing, emphasized the importance of visibility for women in the sport:
“Representation is critical in sim racing, and we’re proud to work with Rokt to support female drivers and engineers. With the backing of world-class coaching and training, this initiative will help open doors for more women in competitive sim racing while also creating future role models in the sport.”
Rokt is an official team partner of Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Formula 1 Team, Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing, and the Red Bull Racing Pepe Jeans Academy Programme for F1 Academy. The companies have previously collaborated on initiatives promoting diversity in motorsports and STEM, including Rokt the Rig and the Driven Beyond Limits video series, which highlights female engineers at Oracle Red Bull Racing.
Women interested in joining the program can apply through the Rokt Discord community.
