Scrum Alliance welcomes Yeonsoo Nahm to Board of Directors to strengthen agile education

Scrum Alliance, a nonprofit organization focused on advancing agile education and professional credentialing, has announced the appointment of Yeonsoo Nahm to its Board of Directors for a three-year term.

Nahm brings experience from finance, technology, and education, as well as a global perspective shaped by her work across various industries and regions.

Nahm has held leadership roles in investment banking, corporate finance, and technology. As Chief Financial Officer at Mathpresso, she secured global investors, led monetization strategies, and developed strategic partnerships with major technology companies to support international growth.

At the Starknet Foundation, Nahm contributed to building financial infrastructure, scaling its blockchain ecosystem, and supporting a token launch. Prior to these roles, she spent nearly a decade at Citigroup Investment Banking, advising clients on capital markets transactions valued at over $100 billion.

Focus on education and community

Beyond her corporate roles, Nahm has been involved in initiatives to promote education and empowerment. She serves as Communication Chair and Director for Soroptimist International Americas in Korea, focusing on programs that support women and girls through education.

Nahm commented:

“Education has been a cornerstone of my journey. It unlocks potential, creates opportunities, and fosters resilience in the face of challenges. I am passionate about empowering others to learn, grow, and thrive.”

Nahm’s experience on nonprofit and corporate boards has provided her with strategic insights relevant to Scrum Alliance’s mission of advancing agile education.

Tristan Boutros, CEO of Scrum Alliance, said:

“Soo’s exceptional background and experience make her an invaluable addition to our board. Her strategic insight, coupled with her passion for education and emerging technologies, aligns perfectly with our goals as we continue to provide transformative agile education and certifications to a global audience.”

Søren Filbert, Chair of the Scrum Alliance Board of Directors, added:

“We are pleased to have a board member with extensive knowledge of Asia, as three markets within the region are among our strategic priorities. Soo brings extensive experience within the competencies the board has been looking for this year, including having an executive-level finance background, extensive knowledge of digital education platforms, and global market knowledge. Soo’s skills and experience strengthen the diversity and breadth of knowledge necessary for Scrum Alliance to advance its mission.”
