Udemy Adds Marylou Maco and Debra Chrapaty to Board of Directors for strategic growth

Udemy has named Marylou Maco, Chief Revenue and Customer Experience Officer at Avaya, and Debra Chrapaty, Chief Technology Officer at Toast, to its Board of Directors.

Expanding expertise

Marylou Maco brings more than three decades of experience in driving revenue growth and scaling businesses. At Avaya, she oversees go-to-market strategy, customer success, and field operations.

Commenting on her appointment, Maco said:

“The world of work is undergoing rapid transformation, fueled by the widespread adoption of generative AI, and with its focus on meeting customer needs, Udemy is the company best-positioned to help organizations bridge the growing skills gap.

Maco previously held senior roles at Genesys, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Oracle. During her tenure at Cisco, she led a global portfolio transformation, aligning assets and cloud consumption across a $6 billion business. She also serves on the board of Avaya Holdings Corp.

Debra Chrapaty brings over two decades of expertise in technology leadership and AI-powered innovation. At Toast, she leads technical operations, infrastructure, and product engineering.

Previously, Chrapaty served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Amazon Alexa and held leadership positions at Wells Fargo, Cisco, Microsoft, and Zynga. She also serves on the board of Forge Global Holdings, Inc.
